Adam, Emily, Natalie and Kaylee Holverson. I have been wanting to take pictures of this little family all summer, and I am so glad that I finally had the chance to try. Natalie never stops moving, ever, and Kaylee would have preferred to sleep in the car all afternoon, but somehow we managed to get everyone in front of the camera at the same time….a few times! I love all the personality that is shown in these pictures, I hope that they have effectively captured the energy and charm of this family!!

Just catching up…

This will be a long blog, but I haven’t posted in a while. It is a chance to show a bit about our family, and a bit about my photography!
First up, our family pictures! Aaron and Kaya and I went out for some family pictures a few weeks ago. Now I think that we should do it every month, to document how much Kaya changes! Here are a few of our favorites:

We thought it would look neat if we each had our own tree, but Kaya just wondered what we were doing.

And as she was craning around trying to see Aaron she toppled over and, well, ate dirt. Obviously it didn’t bother her too much!

Next up, Anna, Paul & Lyla! Anna and Paul were gracious enough to let me try to take some family pictures for them. I had forgotten that an 8 week old baby is impossible to pose.  Thankfully they are a beautiful family, so I really had an easy job. I learned so much in the time that I spent with them, and as usual, even more when I looked at the images at home. I had thought that family photography would be my favorite, and, it just might be. There is so much to try to capture!!  So, here are a few of those:

And lastly, the Holverson grandkids. Aaron’s mom had a birthday last week, and we decided a nice gift for her would be pictures of all 6 grandkids. We ended up going with a group shot and then some individual pictures as well. The group shot was an interesting experience, 6 grandkids, 5 of which are 3 or under, 3 of which are under 1 year! Despite 8 adults doing all sorts of things behind the camera we were never able to get a picture with even a majority of the group looking. But, this way is more realistic!!!

Here is a glimpse of some of the pictures we gave Laura:

* I love the picture of the 3 babies, this was the best one, as I tried to take more, they just got more worked up!
